The Specification Sales Engineer position will be primarily tasked with devising, implementing, and reviewing sales strategies, together with the Regional Sales Manager, to achieve and develop assigned territory targets in the sale of specified products. The successful candidate will work to generate new sales opportunities and expand their potential customer base, identify and convert high-value leads, and secure future opportunities through ongoing conceptual sales activities.
The Specification Sales Engineer will serve as the primary customer interface to foster client relationships, satisfaction, and loyalty through regular contact and the provision of first-class support. The role will be responsible for continued business development by connecting with potential customers and building an understanding of their organisation, drivers, objectives, and the value that the company can deliver to the specific customer in support of their business goals. The successful Specification Sales Engineer will seek to apply a strong working knowledge of the company offering to educate customers on all levels with the intention of influencing current and future specification decisions.
The position is principally an external role supporting the design client base, including both governmental (county, borough, schools, health, and ministry) and commercial customers, by way of visiting potential and existing clients across the assigned sales territory. The Specification Sales Engineer is expected to develop their own leads and opportunities through both the successful pitching of products and the conceptual sell of the product.
