We’re delighted to be partnering again exclusively with a leading, well established and respected PPE & workwear supplier in their search for a National Business Development Manager. They’ve been trading for over 20 years and have become very well known throughout the market as a family-owned business that has always put customer needs first. They’ve built a highly successful business model around providing first-class own-branded and leading third-party workwear and PPE products and maintain a competitive edge against some of the larger organisations in this space.

Nestled in the South East of England, they’re now in a new cycle of business development, securing new business partnerships across the entirety of the UK and as a result are looking for a National Business Development Manager to lead these efforts in the Waste Management and Local Authority / Public sector channels. Working in collaboration with the in-house sales support and account management teams, the successful candidate will have ownership of building long-term, sustainable relationships and manage those partnerships for the initial 3-6 months of trading before passing over the responsibilities to a Key Account Manager. This gives true “hunter” business development professionals freedom from the distraction of account managing won business, allowing them to focus on winning more contracts.

You’ll need to show high levels of proactivity and entrepreneurial spirit to be successful in your application and have a proven history of building new relationships from scratch. You’ll be able to leverage the brand of our client in opening new doors and be a natural negotiator with both customers and internal stakeholders within the business.
