Our team had a thoroughly enjoyable lunch and afternoon at the recent 2019 BIFA Awards, which was held at the Brewery in London and hosted by double Olympic champion, Colonel Dame Kelly Holmes DBE.

Robert Keen, BIFA Director General, said on the day: “All the companies that entered this year’s awards could have no finer example to follow than someone who struck Olympic gold twice in Athens in 2004″. Dame Kelly recounted the story of her rise to Olympic success, the physical and mental challenges she had faced and defeated along the way and it was clear that the entire room was very moved by her story, told in an inspiring and energetic way!

We had some great company at our table and felt privileged to hand over the award for ‘Ocean Services’ to… NNR Global Logistics.

Our group MD Ben Freeman presented the trophy and commented about how pleasing it was to see how genuinely delighted Janette Page of NNR was and later in the day he heard about the years of work and effort she and her team had put in to winning this accolade. NNR is a business we partner so it was extra special to see them walk away with this award.
