Role
In this role you will provide an optimum service to customers to ensure the continued growth of the companies business. You will propose suitable technical and commercial solutions to meet customer requirements, ensuring resultant orders conform to the terms offered.
Candidate
Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical / Electro - Mechanical Engineering or chemical engineering
Commercially astute, and an effective negotiator
Able to demonstrate sound project management skills: able to manage a multiple contract schedule from enquiry to completion.
The following would be advantage but are not essential:
Experience in the oil and gas industry preferable
Relevant sales experience in an internal or external sales role
Salary
£25,000 - £32,000

THE ROLE:
As an applications engineer you are an important part of the technical sales process, general duties would include:
* Preparing quotations for large bespoke equipment in cooperation with the engineering team and sales managers.
* Develop costing as part of the quotation process
* Acting as the internal point of contact during the bidding and enquiry process
* Develop, negotiate and agree contract specifications.
* Developing and maintaining relationships with the engineers and decision makers in customers organisations
THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
* HNC level or equivalent in relevant field
* Experience in a similar role
* Knowledge of contractual conditions
* A good team player
SALARY:
* Excellent rates of pay

The Company
The company is involved in provision of service activities both on and off-site for a range of rotating machinery.
The Role
As Service Engineer the applicant would be expected to:
Perform installation, commissioning and repair activities at the
Customers site.
On occasions manage Customers personnel in the performance of the
tasks listed above.
Provide on site technical support.
Produce appropriate reports related to the activities undertaken.
Provide the Customer with a focal point during their interactions with
the Company.
Capabilities, experience and education
The applicant would be expected to have the following capabilities and education:
Hands on experience of rotating machinery overhaul, and installation.
Working knowledge of pumping systems.
Good mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge.
Experience of ISO 9001 Quality Systems and the Health and Safety at
Work Act.
Formal training in either mechanical or electrical engineering. Formal
training can be offset by appropriate experience.
Remuneration Package
Package will include the following elements:
Competitive Basic with additional site payments based on geographically
location.
37 hour working week
25 days annual holiday
Company Pension scheme
Company sickness payment scheme
This role requires an individual who is capable of working under their own initiative, whilst being supported by a capable team back at base. The applicant will be required to undertake regular overseas assignments, very often at short notice to a variety of countries, throughout, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and South America. The individual will be based out of our Luton site. Preference will be given to candidates with hands on experience of Rotating Machinery Overhaul, Installation and a working knowledge of Pump Systems. |

The Role
As Design Engineer the applicant would be expected to:
Review of customer requirements for accuracy and completeness
Maintain and apply knowledge of company and customer engineering
standards
Maintain and apply knowledge of regulatory and statutory requirements.
Maintain and apply knowledge of British and other standards
Provide expert advice, tools and information related to their
specialisation.
Design projects to achieve minimum cost within estimate and
specification.
Prepare design layout drawings and models complete with bill of
materials to meet the agreed programme of works.
Assist Project Engineers in the resolution of contract issues.
Assist Sales Engineers to derive project costs
Be involved in the design verification processes applicable to
mechanical and hydraulic design including as appropriate finite element
analysis and fluid dynamics.
Propose new designs, materials, and methods to reduce the cost of
manufacture or improve the performance of company products
Take an activity hand on approach to research and development
activities related to our continuous improvement programme.
Capabilities, experience and education
The applicant would be expected to have the following capabilities and education:
A degree in a suitable and relevant discipline.
Experience in pump design and fluid dynamics.
CAD skills (ideally SolidWorks 2 and 3D)
Knowledge of bearing systems and, or, finite element analysis would be
an advantage.
A flexible hands on approach.

This role requires a design engineer with a background in pump design with a desire to work with a team of engineers developing products for a variety of applications. Order handling Order interpretation, commercial and technical documentation, inter departmental/supplier liaison, expediting, shipping and invoicing department support
Building working relationships with the relevant external sales personnel, internal spares, service and technical departments, agents and associate companies
Being a technical and commercial point of contact for customers, agents and associate companies on all relevant product enquiries
Candidate
Sufficient engineering exposure to understand basic engineering processes, materials and typical manufacturing processes.
Computer literate with the ability to prioritize heavy and variable workload
Desire to progress or develop a career in a technical sales role
The following would be advantage but are not essential:
HNC in Mechanical /Electro-mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Relevant sales experience
