Key tasks will include: Compilation of GA and Schematic diagrams using AutoCAD, Interpretation of schematic diagrams and /or specifications and Identifying cost saving opportunities to increase margins on secured projects.
The successful candidate will posses a sound electrical knowledge, conversant with Cad based drawing packages, hold a commercial understanding of projects and the bid process as well as excellent product application knowledge.

Candidate
Bachelor of Science/Engineering (Hons), Electrical Engineering or Masters in related discipline preferred. Chartered Engineer, Engineering qualification.
Experience within an electronic engineering development environment.

LEADER IN THE DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE OF LIGHTING PRODUCTS FOR A RANGE OF INDUSTRIES.
ROLE - Reporting to the Product Development Manager, the role will require the occasional visit to China, where most products are manufactured.
We require a product designer to develop lighting and other products from concept to completion. At least 2 years previous experience of lighting or electrical product design is required.
CANDIDATE
You will have a related degree in Product design or industrial design or even mechanical engineering and be able to design using either Solid Edge or Solidworks however other 3D packages will be considered and training on Solids will be available.
Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate:
Design flair
Project management skills
Knowledge of injection moulded component design
Knowledge of metal extrusion design
Experience in the use of rapid prototyping methods |

My client require a contractor immediately with the following skills and knowledge.
You will possess experience of engineering design within the Control and Instrumentation environment with ever increasing levels of responsibility. You will have been responsible for system design, integration and commercial management throughout the project lifecycle, from initial design concepts through to installation and subsequent client support. In addition you will have controlled and monitored major sub-contracts within the project
scope. As our main representative in the critical early phase of jobs, often on client sites, we would expect excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven experience of developing successful relationships with a wide variety of groups: sales, engineering, maintenance and management.
As this position carries much influence with the Client we would expect the EPC Engineer to work with (and if necessary lead) the detailed engineering team to assure the accurate and timely completion of customer projects to our high standards and within budget. You will provide verbal and written reports to communicate project status (both technical and commercial) as required and contribute to project review meetings. Qualifications: Degree qualified in a related technical discipline or equivalent work experience. Ideally should also hold (or be prepared to take) an offshore medical and survival certificate. Registration as a professional engineer with a recognised body would
also be preferred.
Skills & Experience:
�� Experience in engineering design within the Control and Instrumentation environment with ever increasing levels of responsibility.
�� System Design in accordance with the requirements of Functional Safety Management to IEC 61508 / 61511.
�� Preparation of ESD Shutdown Hierarchies and ESD Cause and Effect / SAFE Charts.
�� Participation in Hazop / Hazan studies.
�� Preparation of F&G Detection Philosophies, Fire Zone Layouts / Detector Layouts,
F&G Cause and Effects.
�� Development of P&ID's / PFD's/ UFD's.
�� Preparation of Control Narratives / Logic Diagrams.
�� Experience with package equipment control schemes (Compression, Power Generation etc).
�� Field Instrumentation Specification and engineering.
�� Experience with proprietary packages such as INTools an advantage.
�� Provide a Technical Authority role for multiple projects, including the performance of Design Reviews. |
