THE CANDIDATE
Successful Project applicants will need to possess ALL of the following ;
Education and qualifications:
• Desirable: ITIL Overview/Foundation
• MCP in one or more Office/Operating system Products
Knowledge and skills:
• Demonstrable experience in supporting Microsoft Office Products
• Experience with banking applications (Reuters, Bloomberg) desirable
• Experience supporting Windows XP in a corporate environment including Active Directory account management
• Strong experience of PC hardware and software including troubleshooting techniques
• Experience of remote access and software deployment tools (SMS preferred)
• Experience of Service Desk Management tools (eg Marval/Remedy etc)
• Ability to work in accordance to processes/SLAs as defined by industry best practice (ITIL/ISO20000)
• Strong team player but able to work under own initiative, excellent interpersonal skills

SALARY

1st Line Helpdesk Analyst to join a rapidly expanding team in a Sussex based office. The ideal candidate will have telephone based commerical experience in some form, preferably within a Helpdesk environment. The role will involve call logging using a help desk system, assigning calls to correct support groups, escalating calls as well as providing support in numerous areas of IT (i.e. PDA support etc). Windows Support Specialist. 3rd Line
 
Location: Frankfurt - Germany
 
The Function:
The successful candidate will be required to provide technical expertise to the customer Windows Environment Section in the following areas:
•    Troubleshooting incidents on production systems producing and maintaining comprehensive documentation for all problem resolution, and planning and providing durable solutions.
•    Assist customer projects in planning and implementation. Ensure adherence of project deliverables to operational requirements.
•    Operate the Windows application server landscape. Assist in maintenance activities and regular business continuity testing.
•    Provide and extend operational documentation on customer production systems. Continuous process improvement for operational activities.
•    Preventive maintenance by designing, testing and documenting procedures and processes for systems’ health check.
Support activities will require on-call availability and occasional week-end work.
Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate will have previous experience with 3rd level support and administration of Microsoft Windows based infrastructures in a similar sized organization. He or she should have very good analytical skills and a structured, best practice based work approach.
•    Comprehensive knowledge of Windows 2000, Windows 2003 and Windows XP infrastructure including Active Directory. Certification represents an advantage.
•    Very good knowledge and documented experience of Microsoft Exchange 2003 and Microsoft Sharepoint 2007 implementation and administration.
•    Good knowledge and documented experience of Microsoft Cluster implementation and administration.
•    Good knowledge of scripting languages such as vbs or Perl for administrative purposes.
•    Experience with VMWare ESX Server infrastructure would be considered an advantage.
•    Experience with webMethods integration server and broker infrastructure would be desirable.
•    Very good understanding of operational acceptance and change management processes in best-practice organisations. ITIL Foundation Certification is an advantage.
•    Very good command of the English language is required and a working knowledge of a least one other official Community language would be desirable.
