Contracts Sales Engineer
 
Location: West Sussex

Our client has recently celebrated their 10th anniversary and are one of the worlds leading providers of fluid motion and control products and services currently operating in 56 countries.

Role

An excellent opportunity for a technical engineer with strong project management skills to join the Contracts Team.
In this role you will provide an optimum service to customers to ensure the continued growth of the Company’s business.
You will respond to customer enquiries and orders within the identified timescale, proposing suitable technical and commercial solutions to meet customer requirements, ensuring resultant orders conform to the terms offered.
You will run contract meetings and in conjunction with the Area Sales Manager you will meet or visit customers as required.

Candidate

• HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Commercially astute, and an effective negotiator
• Able to demonstrate sound project management skills: able to manage a multiple contract schedule from enquiry to completion
• Understand manufacturing computerised business systems and the demands of an ISO 9001 environment

The following would be advantage but are not essential:

• Knowledge of the various applications of valves and control systems used within the process control industries
• Relevant sales experience in an internal or external sales role
• Experience delivering complex technical contracts as per the client’s specification
• Understanding of export terms and procedures
 
£24,000 - £29,000 per annum + 25 days’ holiday, contributory money purchase pension scheme, life assurance cover, and Health Cash plan
